Aiming to transcend the two-dimensional expression of traditional stages, the project builds a three-dimensional narrative space that can "write" light and shadow and brim with temporal rhythms. Our ultimate challenge was to use the pure visual language of "light" and "motion" to abstractly interpret the 120-year light and shadow epic of Chinese cinema from the film era to the digital age, allowing lighting equipment itself to serve as the core performers telling this historical story.

Balancing Heritage with Modernity

Absolute Precision at Epic Scale:

360 independent lifting motion units (240 meteor lights + 120 mini spheres) were integrated and synchronously controlled in a single system. It required millimetric consistency in trajectory, speed and timing for tens of thousands of lifting cycles at a 12-meter height—any misalignment would undermine the neat power essential to the grand narrative.

Poetic Translation of Dynamic Light and Shadow:

Converting abstract film art concepts such as "frame rate", "film texture", "montage" and "flowing radiance" into specific programming parameters for lifting speed, array patterns and light point density posed an in-depth test of the ability to integrate creativity with technology.

Engineering Reliability Under Sustained High Load:

The gala featured consecutive high-intensity performances. All lifting hosts and luminaires had to withstand mechanical stresses from repeated acceleration, emergency stops and full-load operation during the hours-long show, with zero tolerance for system instability.
