Recently, Zheng Runze's "Wilderness of Ze" Suzhou Concert concluded successfully. Conceived around the design philosophy of a "Dynamic Vessel of Emotion," the stage visuals translated the singer-songwriter's intricate inner world into a programmable narrative of light and shadow.
Rejecting complex structural clutter, the stage centered on multi-layered circular lifting screens and a digital lighting matrix, constructing a pure yet profound visual field. At its professional core was a comprehensive custom programming system. For songs of varying emotional intensities—such as What If—the director and lighting team wrote exclusive "light and shadow emotional codes."
When the melody drifted into a soulful lull, the program summoned breathing, rhythmic glimmers and slowly unfurling ring-shaped light, fostering an intimate atmosphere of confession. Conversely, during high-octane segments like All Night, the system triggered instantaneously, driving the lighting matrix to scan and transform with intense rhythm. Complemented by the sprinting motion of the lifting screens, this created a visually explosive tidal wave.
This precise program control elevated the lighting from mere atmospheric decoration to a synchronous language interpreting the songs' emotions. It ensured a seamless visual transition from delicate ballads to rock anthems, achieving a deep resonance between technology and art.
