Recently, Guangzhou Fengyi Stage Lighting Equipment Co., Ltd. has completed a full upgrade of the Star Ring art installation in its core exhibition hall.
Centered on the cosmic-inspired Star Ring, and integrated with four core products — Lifting Mini Spheres, Lifting LED Tube Lights, Lifting Meteor Lights, and Lifting Crystal Pillars — it forms a programmable light universe combining dynamic mechanics, intelligent programming, and artistic aesthetics.
This upgrade not only showcases Fengyi’s technological expertise in dynamic lighting but also vividly demonstrates unlimited visual possibilities for scenarios ranging from hotel lobbies to stadium concerts.
I. Design Concept: Star Ring as Core, Four Devices in Orbit
The upgraded Star Ring consists of 8 concentric rings, with the outermost halo shining wide like a galaxy. Light and shadow converge inward toward a brilliant core.
The entire installation uses 360° luminous LED strips, delivering stunning visuals from every angle.
The four newly integrated products each serve a unique visual role:
Lifting Mini Spheres – Agile Cosmic Particles
85mm diameter with 33 built-in RGB LEDs for full 360° color illumination.
Driven by micro servo motors, they can perform gentle breathing effects or high-speed bouncing, resembling a rhythmic satellite swarm around a planet.
Lifting LED Tube Lights – Spatial Skeleton
Linear beams outline structures and trajectories, forming a point-line-plane composition with the circular Star Ring.
Programmable lifting movements simulate light waterfalls, time tunnels, and other dynamic effects.
Lifting Meteor Lights – Dynamic Brushstrokes
Adopt RGB full-color pixel-by-pixel control, with 108 high-brightness LEDs for delicate color shifts.
They can mimic fast meteor falls or slow poetic rises.

Lifting Crystal Pillars – Dazzling Focal Points
Made of high-transmittance acrylic, producing brilliant refractive light effects.
In groups, they create crystal forests, halls of light, and other grand scenes.

The professional soul of the dynamic matrix lies in its highly integrated control system and pixel-level programmability.
All devices are equipped with high-precision servo motors and closed-loop encoders, achieving ±1 mm positioning accuracy.
Lifting speed is continuously adjustable, with linear, exponential, and S-curve profiles simulating movements from free fall to feather-like drifting.
The control system runs on mainstream platforms such as grandMA3, with unified scheduling via DMX512 and Art-Net protocols, keeping end-to-end latency within 8 ms.
Fengyi’s self-developed Spatial Effect Engine turns complex group movements into parameterized visual grammar.
By adjusting amplitude, frequency, phase, random seed, and other parameters, designers generate real-time effects including flowing galaxies, particle bursts, and time-travel visuals.
For safety, all units feature a vertical stabilization system and Eagle Eye anti-fall device, providing dual protection for fully secure operation.

In the upgraded exhibition hall, the Star Ring and four products demonstrate endless versatility through live programming:

- Rhythm of the Galaxy: All devices sync with audio via timecode at millisecond precision, moving in rhythm with music and turning the hall into an immersive audiovisual theater.
- Serene Starry Sky: Star Ring brightness drops to 20%; mini spheres flicker gently and asynchronously; crystal pillars emit a soft halo, creating a peaceful atmosphere.
- Energy Burst: Star Ring blazes at 100% brightness; meteor lights surge upward explosively; mini spheres bounce rapidly, pushing the atmosphere to a climax.
- Star Gate: The Star Ring forms a deep “gateway” structure; mini spheres arrange in orbital patterns; meteor lights radiate outward, evoking a portal to the unknown universe.
