On the evening of December 21, 2019, a visual feast integrating light art and martial arts spirit unfolded at the Foshan International Sports and Cultural Arena. As the grand finale of the first-ever Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Kung Fu Film Week, the closing ceremony gathered renowned filmmakers and classic kung fu memories. More importantly, it redefined the visual narrative dimension of large-scale ceremonies with a revolutionary lighting art scheme led by 200 sets of lifting meteor lights. Extending the concept of "Kung Fu" from the screen to the stage, it carved a flowing "light-and-shadow kung fu epic".
I. Design Origin: Forging Kung Fu Imagery with Light as the Soul
Centered on "Tribute to Kung Fu Cinema", the gala’s primary design challenge was translating the abstract martial arts philosophy — dynamic and static, fast and slow, hardness and softness in harmony — into tangible stage language. Fengyi Stage Lighting abandoned stacked decorative lighting and established the design philosophy of "Warriors of Light". The 200 lifting meteor lights were treated as 200 well-trained "light warriors": no longer passive luminous devices, but active narrators capable of "breathing", "striking" and "forming formations".
The scheme constructed a three-dimensional, deeply layered "Kung Fu Universe". The meteor light array, precisely arranged above the stage, was fully programmable in spatial positioning (X/Y/Z axes), motion trajectories, formation dynamics and color emotion. This enabled full-dimensional visual expression: from precise "point" strikes (simulating flying hidden weapons) to grand "surface" layouts (creating a jianghu sea of clouds) and monumental "volume" shaping (forming a three-dimensional dragon gate formation).
II. Technical Core: The Programmable "Kung Fu Form Library"
The vision was empowered by Fengyi’s independently developed closed-loop CNC system and effect engine programming platform. Each meteor light acted as an independent intelligent terminal, with lifting speed, hovering precision, rotation angle, RGBW color and brightness controllable individually by the central system at millisecond accuracy. The system’s professionalism shone through its customized Kung Fu Light Form Library.
Directors and programmers could preset and deploy dedicated light programs for each segment, much like choreographing martial arts routines:
- The elegant mastery of the Ip Man series corresponded to the "Noble Spirit" program: gentle yet resolute light movement, warm white and wood-tone hues, and array shifts resembling Go stone placements, full of ritual and inner tension.
- The bold patriotism of Wong Fei-hung triggered the "Lofty Aspirations" mode: wide, sweeping rapid lifting trajectories, surging wave-like visuals paired with majestic music, in vibrant cyan and true red tones.
- Action-packed tributes to martial arts stunt performers activated the "Clash of Dragons and Tigers" effect: high-frequency flashing and swift interweaving motions simulating swordplay clashes, creating intense visual rhythm with follow spots.
The system ensured lighting not only set atmosphere, but also precisely articulated the emotional core and cultural symbols of each performance, unifying technical logic and artistic at a deep level.
III. Effect Realization: A Kung Fu Narrative Poem Under Starlight
During the live show, the dynamic lighting system created striking synergy with the performances:
- In the opening martial arts showcase Legend of Kung Fu, 200 meteor lights burst from darkness to cascade down like a meteor shower, then rose in perfect unison and hovered — mirroring a warrior’s transition from stillness to eruption, commanding attention with light’s "inch strength".
- In the warm tribute segment to classic film characters, the system switched to "Golden Years" mode. The array descended to mid-air, casting soft, nostalgic amber halos with slow, breathing-like synchronized fades, immersing the audience in nostalgic storytelling for the heartfelt speeches by Kara Wai, Shi Xiaolong and other filmmakers.
- The most breathtaking moment arrived in the tribute to generations of martial arts choreographers. Paired with stirring music, the ultimate macro command "Ever-Shining Star River" was triggered. All meteor lights lit up in sequence and layers, performing complex, orderly spiral lifts, weaving a dazzling, revolving, endless "Kung Fu Galaxy" above the stage. More than a light show, it was a magnificent luminous monument to behind-the-scenes heroes, lifting the gala to a dual climax of emotion and visuals.

Logistics Services
How is the lamp packaging protected? What if damage occurs during transportation?
The packaging adopts three-layer protection: shockproof foam + hard carton + wooden box (for large equipment such as elevating lights). Key parts of the lamp (e.g., moving head light lens, elevating structure) are individually wrapped with EPE foam. If damage occurs during transportation, the customer must take photos (of the damaged packaging and the faulty part of the product) and send them to the logistics department within 24 hours of receipt. We will give priority to reissuing new products (or arranging repairs) and hold the logistics company responsible. The customer does not need to bear additional costs.

Can the lighting, screens, and other equipment be combined to achieve integrated sound, lighting, and visuals?
