Because kinetic light systems combine electrical, mechanical and software elements, vendors often offer multi-tiered warranties: electrical (LEDs/drivers), mechanical (moving parts), and system/integration (software, communications, and installation). When negotiating, require LM-80/TM-21 reports for lumen-depreciation claims, driver MTBF data, and explicit lifecycle/cycle-count specifications for moving parts; tie warranty start to successful FAT/SAT commissioning to avoid disputes over in-field damage or installation errors.
