◉ Project Background
To fulfill the client’s demand for a distinctive, immersive exhibition space in Berlin, Germany, FENGYI Lighting spearheaded the lighting design for "The Moon Room" showroom. Leveraging its expertise in kinetic lighting, the company aimed to demonstrate the versatility of Kinetic Bars, managing the entire lifecycle from conceptual design to on-site installation and commissioning—positioning the project as a benchmark for innovative showroom lighting solutions.
◉ Project Challenges
The showroom’s irregular layout and specific height restrictions presented hurdles for installing Kinetic Bars, which require precise vertical movement. Ensuring consistent light output and seamless synchronization of the kinetic system, while adhering to Germany’s stringent electrical safety standards, also necessitated rigorous technical refinements.
The project operated within a tight 8-week timeline, encompassing cross-border manufacturing, international shipping, and on-site setup. Sourcing specialized mounting accessories locally in Berlin proved cumbersome, demanding efficient resource coordination to prevent delays in project delivery.
Cross-border collaboration with the local construction team involved overcoming language barriers and aligning disparate work protocols. Coordinating schedule adjustments and ensuring compliance with local building codes further tested the team’s ability to communicate effectively and adapt swiftly.
◉ Analysis of Highlights of Core Exhibits
01. Precision Kinetic Movement: Reshaping Three-Dimensional Artistic Space
The essence of our product lies in its exceptional kinetic capabilities. Each Kinetic Meteor Tube is powered by a precision-engineered servo motor, ensuring movement that is flawlessly smooth, silent, and instantly responsive. As demonstrated in the Berlin exhibition, our system can synchronize hundreds of units with millimeter-level accuracy, whether in a gentle, flowing descent or a rapid, energetic pulse. This technology liberates light from the 2D plane, empowering artists to sculpt with light and transform any ceiling into a living, dynamic canvas.
02. Cinematic Lighting Effects: Crafting Immersive and Emotional Atmospheres
As witnessed at the Berlin art exhibition, our Kinetic Meteor Tubes are more than just moving fixtures; they are masterful tools for atmospheric creation. Each tube is equipped with high-quality RGBW 4-in-1 LED chips that produce exceptionally pure and saturated colors, capable of seamless transitions across millions of hues. A high Color Rendering Index (CRI) ensures true-to-life light quality, bringing every scene to life with stunning realism. This powerful ability to tell stories with light allows our system to precisely guide audience emotions, creating a truly unforgettable immersive experience.
03. Powerful Intelligent Control: Unleashing Infinite Creative Potential
Driving these breathtaking visuals is our robust, in-house developed intelligent control system. This powerful backbone seamlessly supports industry-standard protocols like Art-Net and DMX, enabling perfect timecode synchronization with audio, video, and other multimedia elements. Our intuitive, visual programming software empowers designers to effortlessly translate their most complex creative concepts—from intricate geometric patterns to organic, nature-inspired movements—into reality. It is this stable, efficient, and flexible system that truly unlocks the full potential of the Kinetic Meteor Tubes, offering artists a limitless playground for their imagination.
