Our task was to design a kinetic lighting system that could translate the core essences of kung fu—power, precision, flow, and philosophy—into a dynamic visual language. A fleet of 200 kinetic meteor tube lights was deployed as the primary kinetic scenic element, tasked with creating everything from the explosive energy of a fight sequence to the serene, focused atmosphere of a martial arts philosophy segment, seamlessly integrating with live martial arts demonstrations, film montages, and musical performances.

The primary creative challenge was to move beyond decorative effects and choreograph light movements that embodied kung fu concepts. We needed to develop a unique movement vocabulary that could visually represent "power strikes," "fluid forms," "collective discipline," and "tranquil focus" in a way that felt authentic to the theme.

As a large-scale outdoor ceremony, the system faced variable evening conditions.
