The Rain Vortex at Changi Airport is centered on 1,216 computer-controlled raindrop sculptures, constructing a dynamic scene where nature blends with technology. A custom program creates a 15-minute exclusive light and shadow choreography. The raindrops present 16 forms, such as waves and spirals under the program, and the spotlights below cooperate to form flowing shadows. During the day, the lights simulate natural light to highlight the crystal-clear texture of the raindrops; at night, the light and shadow switch to an underwater wonderland mode, where images such as fish schools and sampans sync with the rhythm of the raindrops, accompanied by an exclusive soundscape. Custom lighting programs for different time periods transform the busy airport into a healing wonderland, making it a unique visual landmark.
